Status: Permanent Full-time Post  (35 hours per week)

Salary: £31,354 - £38,995 per annum

Location: Dependent on successful candidate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented individual to join Adult Learning Wales to lead fund-raising and income generation projects to support this diverse, not-for-profit organisation in helping adults across Wales reach their potential.  If you've got a flair for spotting and developing enterprising fund-raising opportunities across a broad range of partners and corporate stakeholders, building relationships and managing  campaigns and projects, we want to hear from you. We're looking for self-starters, bursting with ideas coupled with the confidence, drive, discipline and determination to deliver successful outcomes in a controlled way, and this brand new role offers you the opportunity to really shape and develop the fund-raising agenda. With premises located throughout Wales there is scope for the post-holder  to be based across different locations across Wales.  Flexible working practices are embedded throughout the organisation and sit alongside an attractive benefits package including 30 days annual leave and the opportunity to join the highly valued Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). 

About the Job

 Adult Learning Wales are working within a continually challenging economic environment, where reliance on public funding alone is unsustainable. Our aim is to empower people to develop their skills and knowledge to realise their full potential and, in order to do this, we need to be less reliant on public funding and increase our income. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and develop this brand new role and the opportunity to focus on all aspects of fundraising and income generation for the organisation. Working with a broad range of stakeholders the post holder will identify entrepreneurial and business opportunities, develop and promote a diverse range of fundraising activities and projects to support a fundraising strategy and income generation.  The post holder will also develop relationships with new and existing corporate donors to secure long term and increased funding across a wide range of target markets.

Have you got what it takes? 

With experience of preparing funding applications, writing proposals and experience of using social media and digital marketing tools to promote campaigns,  you will have knowledge of fundraising from trusts and foundations and the ability to evaluate business and fundraising options.  You will possess excellent diplomacy, organisational and project management skills, underpinned by a   Diploma or equivalent in Business Management or Fundraising or similar filed.  Experience of working with voluntary or charitable groups would be an advantage.
